President Donald Trump confirmed that the U.S. was prepared to walk away from efforts to
end the Ukraine war if either side proved intransigent. “If for some reason one of the two parties makes it very difficult, we’re just going to say ’you are foolish, you’re fools, you’re horrible people’ and we’re going to just take a pass,” Trump told reporters. “And Marco’s right in saying it.” Trump’s remarks follow Secretary of State Marco Rubio saying that the U.S. was prepared to “move on” if negotiations could not end the war.
