President Donald Trump announced that Dr. Casey Means would be nominated as the next
surgeon general of the U.S. “I am pleased to announce that Dr. Casey Means, will be nominated as our next Surgeon General of the United States of America,” Trump wrote on TRUTH Social. He said Means will work closely with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and “Make America Healthy Again.” This announcement comes after reports that the White House was planning to pull its nomination of Janette Nesheiwat to be surgeon general.
