No one is more authoritarian than a triumphant liberal. Liberalism decries “authoritarian”
institutions, such as the Catholic Church or the military, until it runs them. Once in power, liberals make the authoritarians they displaced look like pikers. Converting conservative institutions into instruments of liberal power has long been the left's goal, and liberals wield that power, once secured, with dogmatic tenacity.
