Federal Judge Blocks Planned Parenthood Defunding in Big, Beautiful Bill


A federal judge in Boston on Monday blocked the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act’s provisions to

defund Planned Parenthood, just days after President Donald Trump signed the law. U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani, an Obama appointee, issued the temporary restraining order. The ruling comes in the wake of a Supreme Court ruling that dramatically limited the scope of nationwide injunctions by lower court judges and is sure to lead to a legal fight with the administration.
