DeWine Picks Husted as Ohio’s Next Senator

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine picked Lt. Gov. Jon Husted as Ohio’s next senator. “The person who

is suited to be the next United States Senator is a person who has been close to me the last six years. A person who almost daily I work with,” DeWine said. “And that person is Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted.” Husted said it is his “honor to accept the appointment to serve the State of Ohio in the U.S. Senate.” Previously, Husted served as Ohio Secretary of State, Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives, and an Ohio State Senator.
