It is nearly impossible to underscore how devastating the release of surveillance video from

the “Gates of Hell,” as McBride described the scene, will be to the accepted narrative about January 6. Coupled with other instances of police misconduct that day, including the random and unnecessary use of explosive crowd control devices before any violence took place, January 6 will make LaFayette Square look like a day in the (federal) park.
