A renewed, intensified crisis at the border

Democrats have written a measure that would be a historic expansion of immigration and

are attaching it to the budget bill. That way, immigration will never be debated on its own. It would simply be included in the giant budget bill, and senators who voted for the budget would also vote for the biggest immigration change in memory. And now, the time for decision comes against the backdrop of a newly growing border crisis.
