Former President Donald Trump has no plans to attend any future Republican presidential

debates after opting to skip the first two events, a spokesman has confirmed. Chris LaCivita, a senior adviser to President Trump’s 2024 campaign, confirmed the decision to reporters after the Sept 27 event. "He said he's not going to attend the debates, plural. And that's his position—until it's not," Mr. LaCivita said, adding that the debates had become more like a contest for "who’s going to be the designated survivor."
