Trump Administration Border Czar Suggests Using Military Bases to Aid in Deportations

Homan, the former Acting Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the first

Trump Administration, mentioned the possible assistance of the military in an interview with the Wall Street Journal. “It’s something that’s certainly on the table,” said Homan. “We’re waiting to see what Congress is going to give us for funding.” Using military assets, including bases, to assist with deportations is not without precedent. Both Obama and Biden used military bases to hold illegal aliens, including Latin Americans and Afghan refugees.
