Biden Claims He Visited Ground Zero the Day After 9/11 - Except He Didn't

Speaking before a group of service members in Alaska Wednesday commemorating the 22nd

anniversary of 9/11, President Joe Biden claimed he’d stood at Ground Zero the day after the terrorist attacks and surveyed the damage. Just one problem: he didn’t. On September 12, 2001, Biden was in Washington, D.C. speaking before the U.S. Senate condemning the attacks on the World Trade Center the day before. In fact, it would be nine days before Biden would personally head up to New York City and see the site for himself.
