DeSantis Doesn’t Have to Be the Nominee, but He Must Be Viable

I don’t assume anything about the 2024 election right now. And neither should you. So I

don’t object if Trump is your choice for the party’s nominee. If my state’s primary were today, he’d probably be mine, though I have some suggestions I might offer for how to increase the likelihood of both winning and governing more successfully in a second term. But you’d better have a backup plan. And Gov. Ron DeSantis, who certainly needs to refine his game as a candidate, is the best backup plan available.
